Coming from someone who has grown up with Daylight savings their whole life
I hate having to adjust my clocks every 6-8 months .
I love to sleep in in the mornings and I hate summer.
The latest thing to come out of the US senate is a proposal of a bill they are calling the Daylight Proteaction act.
This moron senator from Florida Marco Rubio says it would be a good things because it would give more evening hours of daylight.
He claims that crime would decrease and that fewer accidents would happen on the roads.
Believe it or not Mr. Rubio it might decrease the crime of burglaries but it won't decrease the murder rate and more importantly, it will increase the child trafficking rates because pedophiles and child kidnappers will be able to use the cover of darkness to grab more kids under the cover of darkness while they wait for their school bus or walking to school.
kids need sunlight all day long not just after school and as for traffic accidents are you kidding me?
with darkness a little longer that means you want traffic accidents to increase in the mornings.
the Morning commute will be more dangerous in northern states in the winter as the slip and slide over ice patches on the roads they cant see clearly now as it is imagine how much harder it will be to navigate those ice patches in the dark.
Please Mr President and House members of congress stop this bill in its tracks it was tried in the 70's and it was a huge flop then .
there are far more important issues facing this great country right now than to quibble over 60 minutes of daylight.
Either leave things the way they are or stay on standard time the entire year round.
Pediatricians all agree kids as it is don't get enough sleep for the most part , putting them to bed when its broad daylight is bad enough In the summer when at least they can catch up on sleep by sleeping a little latter because there's no commitment to go to school but making kids go to school in the dark is ludicris and insaine.
as many a wise man said IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT!!
Farmers wont thank you they hate getting up in the dark in the winter months as it is to milk their cows then you say ok lets make it dark while you complete the other activities on the farm too.
Teachers wont like it either , their kids come to school in the dark and before the first class is started the sun hasn't even come up and they get home sure in the light but do you seriously think they can enjoy any of that sunshine ?
No because they are stuck doing homework etc inside so they don't get to enjoy sunlight even more .
There wont be less armed robberies because they will be being done early in the mornings instead when a lot of these criminals are high on drugs instead of coming down .
The list of reasons why DLS year round does not work year round go on.
The fastest way to loose your election is going against the will of the people , the real people the people who are working outside the people driving the school busses the people who are farmers and road workers etc.
Ask what they think of your bill to extend the afternoon and make nighttime longer i promise that you would be laughed at like a crazy man on drugs.
People are more productive in the morning and afternoon not in the evenings and nights this is why our days are what they are .
You want more daylight hours ask Alaska what they would rather have .
Rant OVER!!

First of all, two states in the us, already don't observe Daylight saving's time. Now, the law perposes we leave the clocks alone. It won't stop the Earth from turning, nor will it change when it gets lighter or darker. They suggest, keeping the clocks where they are. And, it really won't change much of anything.
The only thing I agree with, congress should worry about more important things.

Light wakes me up, but I wake up by 7am usually.. I actually woke up today at 2:30am, and it was a little warm, which is why I prefer winter, since I do sleep better.
