Yesterday saw the Lowest Covid deaths world-wide since April, 2020, at 4300 officially. Clearly the combination of the Omicron variant being milder, and having heavily vaccinated populations and natural immunity from infection kicking in big time, we are on top now. Well done to EVERYONE in younger groups that are not at risk from the virus for being jabbed. You saved thousands and thousands of lives, you really did. Those antivaxers are idiots and well done for ignoring them
The stats show the United Kingdom was a week or so late locking down two years ago and it cost around 20,000 lives. We have the same population and urban density as France and they had 23,000 fewer deaths from their earlier lockdown. But we helped big time to hurry the vaccine through so saved a serious amount of lives around the world. How did your country fair?

Countries that locked down early and severely in 2020 are now being smashed with Omicron on the back end, simply more targets or the virus, Japan, Germany and South Korea examples of. It was always going to catch up on the back end. South Korea is having three million cases a week and fives times the deaths of the second wave there. A lot of those countries will move up the deaths per million charts this year, the United Kingdom 33rd in the world for that but 7th for total recorded Covid deaths at 163,923. The vaccine development pushed us down to 22nd in Europe for deaths per million. Ant Vaccine Easter Europe took the hardest hit, most of the top 16 places for deaths per million in Eastern Europe, two tax havens joining them. Warmer Southern European countries Italy and Greece snook into the top ten ahead of the U.K.
America are just 5,000 plus deaths from ONE MILLION COVID DEATHS!! The China Flu, as Trump called it, killed 0.3% of Americans and hospitalized 20 million.
