I have wanted to watch this since I saw the first ad about it months ago. I am not too keen on Nicole Kidman playing Lucy, but I am only about ten minutes into this so we will see.
I was a huge Lucille Ball fan as a kid. I have seen every I Love Lucy, Lucy and Desi and The Lucy Show episode there is. I had the Vitameatavegamin Barbie, my lightswitch cover in my childhood bedroom was Lucy. She was my favorite!
I have always been fascinated with Lucy and Desi and their story and who they were. Even after they got divorced they still stayed so close. So it will be interesting to see how this is compared to all the other information I know about them.
The set of their living room is identical to what I remember. I know that seems obvious, but it's almost like they are filming way back when they actually filmed I Love Lucy.

What I've watched so far is really good. Other than the Nicole Kidman thing.
We're watching Family Guy again.

@thislittlepennyearns I remember John Goodman as Fred Flintstone. I'll have to look up who played Wilma.
Edit: I looked it up. Yes, I agree, Elizabeth Perkins would have been better than Nicole Kidman.

@DWDavis Nicole Kidman's face shape was all wrong. And too tall and stuff.

I only made it about forty five minutes into it before the other half woke up. He probably would watch it because I want to, but I doubt he'd be as into it as I am.
Do you remember the Live action Flintstones movie, with John Goodman in it? The girl they had play Wilma would of been so much better as Lucy.
