Any1 Prefer Voice Phone Conversations?

I prefer it, but it seems like no one else does.. Many of my friends live in other countries and time zones, and I didn't have that many to talk to previously. There's this program I once found (forgot the name) that would connect your voice to someone else, but it wasn't very English friendly. I've always wanted to talk movies, comedy, music with people, in a back and forth dialogue.. I've had fine conversations on message boards, but it's not the same. There's some people who you can only talk basketball with, leaving a lot of space. I also think it's easier to laugh on the phone, although that's more prevalent face-to-face, which is more "real life"

you can do video calls to have the feeling of face-to-face talk.

Unfortunately, my laptop can only manage text. Too bad Skype didn't have a community message boards for like-minded people could talk.

@ExplorewtMe The only (mostly) working is YouTube on my TV.. I'm on a Windows laptop that is kaput. So I installed Linux on a thumb drive, but have to install this every time, and there's a lot of glitches. Coincidentally enough, about 20 minutes ago, someone randomly sent me a vocaroo on a place people don't have any account info, so I gave her my e-mail address, and then went on to say, "This is far as I'll go" -- assumptions, ugh, get over yourself.. I gave her my e-mail because SHE kept sending me these vocaroos in the main chat and told her I only come once a month, and gave her some alternate address.
