So I'm getting ready to go on my 100 km trip to the bank. And as I'm afraid bi might get stuck in that city for the lack of transportation, I figured maybe I should take the necessary things I might need if I end up spending the night in a hotel. So I figured I'll pack my toothbrush, a cleanser, socks and undies, a hairbrush, and an spf. Trying to be very minimalistic here. Does it happen to you ? Like you get ready for the worst ? Is this what they call overthinking ?

That's a very good planning. It's very important to prepare in case there's a sudden problem. I'm also doing the same. In fact, I also bring packed lunch to avoid hunger in case food centers are far, bring mineral water too. It's better to do this way than feel sorry.

Do you not have internet banking? Or is it something that you can only do by a branch visit?

@Sojourn I never did that before actually. I just directly use it to buy stuff from Etsy. I think I will think about finding out how to do so once I get a good amount of money there and not just 20$.

I don't look at situations like that but then I arrange things to do during the day---one of the many advantages of being retired!

Not all hotels, especially hotels in small cities. You can't expect much from them.. I ended up getting back home pretty early tho. Fortunately.

Why must you spend the night in a hotel?

Because the only transportation back home is big taxi. And the way it works. There has to be 5 more person's going to the same destination that I am for him to move. And in these small cities, it takes hours for one taxi to gather 6 people to move. And especially with Ramadan, people are not going anywhere so.. there's a risk I will no be able to get back.

@Babino I'm sorry, but where are you from again? I didn't know that it's that hard to get from point A to point B.
