Went into the store

I went into the grocery store to find a few things that I had seen that I needed. I proceeded looking for them. I found one of them the other item was a medication that costs too much.
I went to the self serve register's like I mostly do, rang up my things and then paid for them. As I was walking out the register area and attendant was there near a cardboard bin of Fast Break Candy Bars in it.
I picked one up and started laughing and I looked at the attendant and said, "You really think I would buy a candy bar for $2.39!"
I remember when I could get a candy bar for 5 cents.

Everything is so expensive these days. I remember shopping when we were first married. I bought a week's groceries for around $25; and we ate steak and drank champagne.

The price hike is indeed crazy everywhere. We've got to buy what is really needed than what we just want to have.
