"Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" was released in 1979 and was written by Michael Jackson. It is considered to be his first song as a solo artist. The accompanying music video was also Jackson's first as a solo artist.
Michael assured his mother, a devout Jehovah's Witness, that the song did not refer to sex but could mean whatever listeners wanted it to be. The song won a Grammy and an American Music Award. This disco-funk song introduced Jackson's falsetto voice, vocal hiccups, grunts, etc.
The song hit #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, US Hot Soul Singles (Billboard), US Cash Box Top 100, #2 on the US Disco Top 100 (Billboard) and #5 on the US Radio & Records CHR/Pop Airplay Chart.

No matter what others think I'm a huge fan of his music. My daughter's clogging team is going to competition in June doing three of their performances to Beat It, I'm bad, and Thriller

It’s a take-or-leave song for me. I don’t run out of a restaurant when I hear it.

! I didn't realize it was considered to be his first solo song. I heard this a lot when I was bussed to another school in my last half of 6th grade - ah the memories!!
