Marmite roasties are delicious …..who knew !

I speak as a marmite hater ….these little beauties are delicious….
I heard about these and I had got an almost empty marmite jar that I was keen to throw away….so I decided to try them …I am a big fan now. I simply par boiled the potatoes as usual then coated with oil….I mixed an equal number of spoons of marmite and water ….stirred til smooth and poured this over the potatoes….then they were roasted in the oven.
So very tasty ….you can’t tell it is marmite.
Other yeast extracts would work too.
I love trying new things and I’m certainly pleased that I tried this.

It’s a yeast extract paste. It has a very strong flavour. I don’t like it but with the potatoes it’s completely different.

Well, all those yeast extract things you guys across the pond eat, Marmite, Vegimite, stuff... we don't eat those in the States. Pretty sure we wouldn't care for them, like you probably don't care for peanut butter. I'm not a massive peanut butter fan, unless it is chocolate peanut butter...
