What's the 'Matter' (-Of Fact ;-) ) with Lithium at the Salton Sea???

On Soledad O'Brien's show MATTER of FACT, she did a 'pre-"commercial break" tease saying something about how 'the "Salton Sea" (it sounded like "Sultan Sea" to me, but "Salton" is how it's spelled) was one of the world's biggest sources of lithium (a big power-source for batteries, she mentioned). After the commercial-break, Special Correspondent Joie Chen's report was mostly about how 'the Salton Sea--one of the saltiest in the world--was running dry' ... very little (if anything) about how it's a source of lithium! What's up with that!? It's probably a trick to get people to log onto their website (which the announcer mentioned when she referred to the battery-powering mineral which the story hadn't talkied-about ... and which I still can't find there)
