This story is kind of odd since the police in Southampton Long Island are not used to being asked by concerned citizens about a baby seal that was on the streets of their city everyday.
The incident happened on a Sunday morning two weeks back when a baby harbor seal was seen on a road near a Thrifty parking lot which caused a traffic jam that required help from the police to remove the baby seal from the danger zone.
the Southampton police officers were able to capture the seal near the parking lot as the seal was going to an area near a hotel.
The police did take the seal to the Riverhead Foundation where the baby seal will be taken care of being released back to his home in a future date.

Aww He definitely was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I'm so glad he will be taken care of.
