In Dhabaleswar landmass river Mahanadi had created islands.

There is a beautiful Dhabaleswar island. There is a Shiva temple there called Dhabaleswar temple. Travellers cross river Mahanadi by riding a hanging bridge to reach the island. Travellers are excited because there are commonly islands created by seas. There are less islands being created by river. River Mahanadi is the 3rd largest river in India.

thanks Jojo river Brahmaputra is called a nad meaning male river and flows in Assam and also goes to China and neighbouring countries

@Sojourn thanks Jojo the good thing whenever there are dams and barrages built on the rivers the flow of water is regulated. Damodar Valley Corporation made dams and Damodar river helps agriculture in adjoining river. River Mahanadi has same story with the barrage

@sathviksouvik A river is a river to me. I wonder why our ancestors anthropomorphized rivers only, but not the ponds, lakes, sea or oceans.

thanks Eric yes it is interesting place. Islands between seas are very common but islands between rivers are very rare in India
