I am a Preschool teacher in the Philippines, been teaching and supervising preschool Programs in our church for 14 years, and I enyoyed teaching them through play. IOt's been also our program to have our once a year actvity with all ecumenical schools in our district, last week, we had a discussion regarding the competion on learning abiulity of our children,. I for one disagree to that since preschool education is just only a\ preparation for our learners into higher level of learning. Sad to say, despite of my explanations on this matter, some superior in our district wants to pursue it, these people are educators but not preschool educators, should we continue working with this or let them continue the competion but our students will not pasrticipate on the said compwetition.?

I wouldn't want my preschooler to be in a competition. They are just starting to learn things and might get their feelings hurt if somebody "wins" of "looses". They are building their confidence at this age.
