Thanks to the members of the Clinic for the Rehabilitation Of Wildlife (CROW), a brown pelican that had the misfortune of having his neck stuck in a fishing line near Beautiful Island in Fort Myers Florida 10 days ago. The CROW members arrived in time when they were likely called to service by a concerned person who reported to them about the danger that a brown pelican was facing since he was trapped in the wire which caused the pelican to not be able to drink much less eat any food. The officials were able to free the pelican from the trap and take him to a rehabilitation center where the pelican who suffered a neck injury was cured after spending nearly two weeks before the pelican was released into his home after surgery to repair the damage to his body..

I'm so glad they were able to free it. There is so much fishing line and other plastic crap in the waters of our planet.

You are right about the mess the waters have these days that can harm wildlife.

I know what you mean about the suffering of the pelican being trapped the way he was.
