Papillion La Vista High School freshman student Riley Kelly is grateful that he had the assistance of high school basketball coach Joel Hueser who was on his lunch break overseeing the welfare of the students was the right place at the right time on Tuesday afternoon when Riley who was eating a cheeseburger when he began to choke.
Joel was the first person who took action to save the life of Riley when he saw Riley grabbing his throat since he was having a hard time trying to breathe due to the choking on his hamburger.
Joel who has taken a first aid course at the high school located in Omaha Nebraska every two years used the Heimlich maneuver to get the cheeseburger out of Riley's mouth so he could breathe once again.
Kelly did thank the basketball coach for saving his life during the lunch break later in the afternoon. Kelly had never met the basketball coach before in his lifetime.
Joel insists he was just doing his job to educate the students as well as save lives when he is needed.

Not to mention that Joel was close to where Kelly was when he began to choke on his food at the table.
