It's been a few hours or so since I came home, but I had lunch and whatnot.
Went to the bank, deposited my paycheck, went into Safeway (the grocery store) to get some orange juice, and while I was in there, remembered a couple of ladies from church. Both had had shingles some weeks/months ago, and had urged me to get a shot, as I had had chicken pox as a kid.
So, I went up to the pharmacy window and asked if they gave Shingles shots, which they did, so after about 10 minutes of waiting I got it. I was told it burned going in, which I didn't experience, but the needle sure hurt!
I was told to get the second one in no less than a couple of months. I will be glad just to get it over with.

Yeah, "they" say get the shingles shot but they don't say that it's actually two shots.

I don't like needles, either, but I've had so many stuck in me over the years that I just sort of grin and bear it these days.

I hate needles, too. I hope it works out as you expected.
