Is The Democrat Party the "Young Persons' Party"?

REAL TIME with BILL MAHER featured an interview with Chloe Maxmin---a Democrat from Maine. I think she's either already quit the legislature or -she's planning to quit at the end of this term, and she says she's not interested in running for office again but -she wants to get lots of young people into government.

But it reminded me that my 'political lean' has been shifting during my life---I'm becoming "more Republican."
Is that how most people go?
