Do Pets Belong In Public Places?

That is to say, would you want to? There is a story on CTV NEWS right now. A lot of folks got pets during the pandemic, and is as the workplaces open, they want to bring their animals to work. I’ve had pets all my life (one dog and several cats) and I love them, but I personally think they belong in the home. Before I go on I should mention I don’t have children either, but don’t worry, I won’t subject them to the same suggestion I have for non-humans, although this one screaming kid on the bus did make me think about it just a bit. LOL Fortunately it was a short ride, and I had my headphones. That being said, animals can break their leashes, be equally noisy, and folks can be allergic to them. No matter how obnoxious (or tired or frustrated) the child, I’ve never had one break away and bite me. My sister is a puppy-mother, and where she goes, her furbaby goes. We all know this, and when we meet, it’s at outdoor restaurants and cafes, or in one of our homes. Her puppy is better behaved than most children, and in our homes he runs free, and plays with dogs 10 times his size, and cats too. If every pet that went to work or ran an errand with their owners were as good as my sister’s puppy, I’d be 90% on board with this. I refuse to say 100% until allergies are no longer an issue. My Uncle Jack was allergic to cats, so we never had one, growing up. What are your thoughts on pets at work, and in other public places

My thoughts on this is if they are a service pet for someone then yes I see no issue for them being in a public place or a job but if they are not for a medical reason and are being taken just to take them then no I don’t think it is right.

Pets are work can be a bit of a hastle , expecially if it's being very noicy and unbehaving , not only that it's gonna be very hard to manage , but also will be a disturbance for others .
