I feel bad for a family who lost their home due to a house fire in Orem Utah overnight.
The Orem Fire Department did their best to put out the fire that began around 3am on Thursday did destroy the home.
The good news is that the family dog that was inside the home at the time of the fire after his or her owners called 911 to report the fire and leave the home before they could get the dog out of the home was rescued by the firefighters in time.
The fire started in the garage before it spread into the attic and other sections of the home.
I am sure that the community in Orem will offer assistance to the family who lost their home so that they can rebuild.
At least the silver lining in the dark cloud is that no one was hurt and the family dog is with them after the tragic event that will be investigated by the authorities.

I'm glad that the family got out and that the dog was rescued. I always worry about pets in a house fire.

I do worry about pets inside of a home that is on fire myself since pets are my best friends.

I agree with you that losing a home in a fire is very sad.
