These are some colorful houses in Visitacion Valley, a neighborhood in San Francisco. They are close together and seeing the valley from a distance you can see rows of them. The place is near Brisbane and Daly City. Visitation Valley gets its name from Rancho Canada de Guadalupe la Visitacion y Rodeo Viejo , a large land that included the city of Brisbane, the Bayshore district of Daly City and San Bruno Mountain. Visitacion is a reference to Luke 1:39 of the Bible. It is a visit by Mary, Mother of Jesus who visited her cousin Elizabeth who was pregnant with John the Baptist despite her advanced age. The neighborhood is hilly and has a diverse group of stores,restaurants and churches.
