NKOTB Has Officially Kicked Off Tour Season.

No, no, no, that collage is not from this year’s tour lol. It’s from last year’s show at Merriweather, but I wasn’t sure what picture to include with this post, so I figured I’d use that one again lol. New Kids On The Block (my all-time favorite group) kicked off their tour on Tuesday, May 10th, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Obviously, I didn’t attend opening night. In fact, my show is the last one of the tour, so I won’t be seeing it in person until July 23rd. I know some fans are trying to avoid spoilers before their own show, but not this fan lol. I’m not patient in terms of knowing the setlist, outfits, dances, etc., so bring on all the spoilers. Well, a few fans attended opening night and streamed what they could on Instagram Live (service isn’t always great inside these venues), so I basically saw most (if not all) of NKOTB’s sets. They’re rotating the acts, just like they did in 2019, kind of like how you rotate the artists on a mixtape cassette (hence the name, “The Mixtape Tour”). I’m loving everything about this tour! It's going to be such a blast, especially since they’ve added songs I was hoping to finally hear for the first time (i.e., “Twisted”). “Twisted” hasn’t been on their setlist since 2015, and I started attending NKOTB concerts in 2016, so yay! Also, "Twisted" is from their second run, so if you only listened to them in the 1980s/90s, you won't know this song. I also love how awesome these fans are to stream the show. I saw a clip from tonight’s show (I can’t watch the whole thing right now, I’m working) and last night’s show (there wasn’t a show on Wednesday). Anyway, I’m excited to see the whole show!
