One good trait of a firefighter is that even though they are no longer on duty, they stay true to their mission to use their skills to warn anyone who is in their range of sight to alert them when their lives are in danger around the clock.
The name of the former firefighter who lives in Weston Massachusetts was walking outside of his home on Tuesday morning when he saw a fire coming from the outside of their home.
The retired firefighter did his duty to knock on the door to alert the couple whose names were not mentioned that their lives were in danger.
The couple did leave their home in the nick of time since by the time that the Weston Fire Department firefighters arrived to put the fire, the home was destroyed.
The likely cause of the fire may have been recently construction work in the deck in the rear of the home.
No one was hurt in the fire which is good news since a home can be rebuilt. The loss of anyone's life cannot be replaced.

I'm sorry they lost their home; but I"m glad no one was injured.

I agree with you that losing their home hurts.

I guess being a firefighter he was extra alert to that kind of thing.
