yeah there are other things you should do, like system clean, and defragment. and get rid of things you know you wont use.

You should run Disk Defragment too, Scandisk, and Disk clean up wizard every week. It keeps computer running fast and in healthy condition. You can also use Maintainance wizard to make computer do those all jobs automatically at your prescribed time.

Ok i have done the disk clean up but when i go to disk defrag, it tells me i dont have to defrag at this time but maybe ill run it anyway since i have had my new computer for 2 months and never did it. Thanks

If your computer is new, and you are not making much changes in file/Folder locations then i dont think you nedd to defragment it too often. Still i will suggest you to run that tool whenever you delete large amount of data (Such as movie, music file or any application software), that will fill up the blank space created on hard disk and will reduce the access time, making computer run faster.

yes i suggest you to download ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ ! It deletes all temporary useless files on your computer and it can make you save much space on the hard disk !
