Today's song in my head is Tracy Chapman's "Give Me One Reason" which she wrote and was released in 1995.
Tracy was born in my birthplace of Cleveland, Ohio. She began playing guitar and writing songs at 8 years old. Her debut album, "Tracy Chapman", was certified 6x Platinum.
The story in the song: Tracy is telling her lover to give her one reason to stay; and she will "turn right back around". The song was #1 on the US Adult Top 40 Billboard.

I even know Down in the Bottom by John Hammond! Saw him at La Cave when I was dating my husband back in the 60s.
