Ever Talk To Someone Suddenly After 10+ Years Of Silence?

I was on acid a few months ago and out of the blue, called my next-door neighbor. Lived next door to him from 4-19. Was in my first band. We had big dreams. We played together with another guy down the street for 6 years. Went professional while I was still in high school, and I was the oldest, and in a few years, we'd blow off guys in their 30s off the stage so to speak.. Ever go to a show and see half the audience leave when the opening act is finished? Long story short, he constantly screwed up. He'd always apologize, but it just kept piling on. Then when he and his family were a no-show at my sister's wedding, I was done. My family went to his brother's and his wedding. In four different cars, and no one liked his brother, but we went anyway.. Anyway, he didn't pick up the phone, but I left a voice mail. He texted me, and he gave me his e-mail address. I wrote something that day and it's been quite a while. I was a little angry and sent him a (nice) text asking him if one of our e-mails is screwed up. "No, I'm sorry. Busy".. Eventually I made a joke out of it.. "You were always busy. In fact, you were the busiest 15-year old in history!" If I hadn't been tripping, I would have NEVER called him. I even called my cousin who I was very close with, like a best friend (like the guy above) although we had no falling out, but again, it seemed to be a one-way relationship. I've been calling quite a few people, including a professor I had 22 years ago (didn't pick up or call back). I keep telling myself not to, because I don't need that baggage... Although, I would like to collaborate (even online) with my first musical partner, but I know he wouldn't make the time, so I'll sorta leave it there. He texted me saying he had a few minutes, I texted him back, "Sure call. I'll try to keep it lean - music, movies, stand-up comedy" but of course a few things came out.... Like the people who have died in our lives, etc.. Music. Chicago, mostly, since it's the band I got into in his basement - his parents had all the albums, and we'd play pool and listen to music every after school.

While I've never done that, I've had people do that to me. Not hear from them for years, and suddenly get a text email or phone call.

Do you like when people call? Do you answer, or rather not talk?
