I met my friend from church out by the baseball field out across the street from the west side of the complex. She's an older lady who's known me quite a while, I even taught her grandsons when they were little in Sunday school (saw one of them recently--he's now in his early twenites--that didn't make me feel old or anything
We went to the coast, and she told me I could ask her to stop if I wanted to take pictures of anything. She stopped a couple of times and said "such and such" was interesting and I might want to take a photo of it, which I did.
First we stopped at a restaurant and got crab sandwiches and clam chowder. We got it "to go" and went up on a cliff above the beach, where I took more pictures. It was super windy, and the seagulls could barely get through the air.
On the way home we stopped at a little souvenir shop and I went in with money she gave me and got a one-pound bag of salt water taffy for each of us. I still feel full from lunch even though I've been home a while, so I haven't touched mine yet.
I talked a lot about Angel, and how I'll get another dog when I'm ready. No dog could ever be a "replacement" for Angel, and I don't expect them to be. Angel certainly wasn't a replacement for my previous dog Bear, nor was he a replacement for his predecessor Libby, nor she a replacement for my first dog, Winky. They've all been different, and I've loved and enjoyed them all.
It's now 3:02 by my computer clock, and I guess I'll go and check the mail and take a walk, and when I get home I'll get ready for Bible study at church tonight.
Hope your morning/afternoon/evening/etc. has been a good one in your part of myLot land!

My day was a lot hotter then I would have liked, but I think it could have really gotten a lot worse.

It was hot here, too--I'm guessing it will be today.
