Kids NOT wearing Mask

I noticed it a couple of days ago when I was heading home, they're not wearing mask as they walk or bike on the streets. Even the kid neighbor who keeps bugging my dogs in the evening doesn't wear them. What is wrong with the young generation? they're not taking covid seriously. I'm sure some of them had vaccinated, that doesn't mean their immune to it. Do you think I should reprimand them in case I see another kid with out a mask? I saw kids with mask but because their parents are with them. Have a nice day

Yes. I observed that too. In our neighborhood, parents on their facemask but not their kids. What if these kids got COVID? What will happen to their entire family?

@luisga814 They have no idea how dangerous the virus is. the vaccine was meant for us to have strong resistance to the virus.

@Letranknight2015 Yes. That's correct. Parents here are wearing mask, they're already vaccinated. But their kids are not wearing mask. I'm not sure, if these kids already vaccinated. In our end, my eldest son already vaccinated as well as me and my wife. But my youngest is not yet vaccinated but planning to do that on June.

@Letranknight2015 That's the reason why those kids aren't using their masks.

With the loosening of the restriction, the wearing of masks is still a requirement but I think authorities are just not that keen on reminding everyone from covering their faces with masks. Although the cases have been manageable despite many instances during elections where people gathered closely which could have been a super spreader event but the infections did not impact us. I hope that the virus is weakening already since the infections are just not as strong like before.

It is the same way here in the US. A lot of adults are not wearing masks. If you say something to them, you might be asking for trouble. We just make sure we wear ours.

In my country, masks are not mandatory anymore on the streets but they must keep social distance. They don´t do it of course. I always go out with a mask on.

@Letranknight2015 Covid is still nearby. Last week, my 99 year old aunt got covid in spite of her 4 shots. Maybe the maid who comes to help brings it. Who knows.

Where I live in the world the US you can be outside and not wear a mask it’s not required the likely hood of you getting for just being outside is extremely low especially when it’s hot. Now I’d it’s suppose crowed outside me as a parent would tell the kids to put there mask on. My kids play outside all of the time with no mask and haven’t gotten Covid from that. The store, school and some of a lot do places it’s optional which then me and my husband we’ll be like wear your darn mask and we practice what we say.

Hello @ShyBear88 I'm worried about those kids getting covid and all. They probably threw away their mask once they leave the house.

@Letranknight2015 they are not your kids so worrying would be pointless. If it’s not required then they are not in the wrong especially if they are posing. My kids pod often so they see the same kids often enough where they are okay with each other being unmakes. Playing outside it’s not need. If sick keep them inside it’s that easy. I locked my 7 year old inside for 24 hours because of pinkeye now he is good.
