Another storm rolling in.

This afternoon when I finally climbed out of bed, I thought we were going to have a rain-free day. By the time I was ready to go out, a small but pretty severe thunderstorm hit. It didn't last long so I got out and back before it got to late or to dark. However, now I've been home about an hour and we're starting to get another thunderstorm.
Looks like Rockville should've tried to schedule better. Second day they've been hit with rain. They still managed to play a little bit between storms.

Playing while the storm is raging. It's dangerous. The after effect of Super Typhoon Odette in me is still haunting me. Last December 2021, our small city was badly hit by Odette and destroyed several houses including our rooftops and claimed one life of a security guard while going home late in the evening for he was accidentally hit by a uprooted tree along the road while he's traveling home riding his motorcycle.

@Nakitakona There's a long list of things one "Should do" but it varies from household to household. My husband and I keep up on flashlights and battery powered lights. We also keep water on hand and a lot of canned goods we can eat warm if need be. We've weathered our fair share of storms, having been native to the state of Florida. So we know what we're getting into.

That storm system might be the one we got too. We were supposed to get severe storms all day but the initial storms were coming from the west and they just missed out city. But at night we did get hit all night long and that one came from the south. I didn't look too see exactly where it originated.
Now we're supposed to be rain free until next Thurs.
