Yesterday I bought a new cup holder for my wheelchair, because the old one was digging into my skin. I put it on the chair yesterday, and it looks like it might be more harm than good and in the way. I'll put it through it's paces today and see how it goes. I think, cup holder aside, I'm finally getting things the way I want them. It's a learning curve for sure.

Do you mean to tell me after all these centuries, they still have not figured out how to properly install a built-in wheelchair cup holder for people? That is ridiculous! Since baby stroller companies have been including built-in cup holders for the caregiver(s) and child(ren) for many years now, there is no reason why wheelchairs should not come standard with them too. And, if there are models that do, that's great. But, if not, I am royally ticked off about it now. There is no excuse for you to have to find one when one should already be there for you.

I agree. I know some scooters and power chairs can include them as an option. As well as a an attachment for for an umpbrella, but cup holders aren't as common. Most models I've seen on Amazon, are designed for someone being pushed or not really moving. I am sure, you can probably find a custom job, that might add one, but I also think wheelchair makers think the standard chair is going to be pushed by someone else. Or, used in a nursing home or hospital. I a m not made of money, so it's not really an option for me to get a chair directly from a company. I have to make what I have work.

@kaylachan Yeah, but I still think it makes more sense to make built-in cup holders standard.

That would give you things for easiness. That's fine.

I didn't realize they made cup holders for wheelchairs. I hope you can find one that works.

They do, but finding one that works is the problem.
