El Paso County Sheriff's Office (ELCSO) Deputy Ricardo Garcia will simply say that he was doing his job to serve and protect the persons in his community when on May 12 he went to a bridge overpass during the morning rush hour when a female told the deputy that she planned to end her own life by jumping off of the bridge to the traffic below.
As soon as Officer Garcia went to speak to the young female who was sitting on a ledge, she fell down from the bridge which would have resulted in her death or serious injury when Officer Garcia grabbed her clothing by reaching over the railing and with the help of some of us fellow police officers she was saved from falling to her death by getting back on safe ground.
The female whose name was not mentioned is now seeking help at a mental health hospital.
People should realize that police officers are human beings who risk their lives to save persons without expecting a reward from the general public.

Glad she got saved and I hope she gets the help she needs, What an awful way to try to kill oneself suppose she didn't die but was crippled for life,
