I have a feeling a teenager who was assigned to take care of a young year old girl in Huber Heights Ohio on Wednesday afternoon will be more careful in the future when he or she is assigned to watch over young children who near a swimming pool.
The name of the teenage babysitter was not mentioned probably because of her age found a 1 year old girl who is in a wading pool who nearly drowned.
I will give credit to the teenager who did ca11 911 to report the incident to the dispatcher who instructed the teen to get the toddler out of the pool as soon as possible to give her CPR in an attempt to revive her before it was too late.
It was by the Grace of God that the Huber Heights police and paramedics arrived to the home where the incident took place in about one minute to take the toddler to the Dayton Children's Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
Sergeant Brian Carr of the Huber Heights Police Department is telling people in his community to keep a close watch on children who are near swimming pools since the risk of drownings is greater during the summer vacation period.

Is there law on that not to mention the name of a teenager? Kids who have done exemplary and heroic deeds are recognized and let the world know about it. Unless they're being abused.

I guess the reporter in Ohio did not want to mention the name of the teen due to the policy of the television station.

@Nakitakona That could be true since the media is not to be trusted in my nation.

@Deepizzaguy No wonder. That's a restricted news. It could be a hearsay. Sorry to say that.

It is very scary to report these kinds of stories where children nearly die due to drowning.

One of my children nearly drowned at a pool when she was 3. We didn´t know how Claudia could run so fast to the other side of the pool and dived there. Fortunatly my husband saw her immediatly and knew how to swim in a professional way. He crossed the pool in secons and took her out unharmed. It was a miracle.

I agree with you that your child was lucky that your husband knew how to swim and save her life from drowning.

I have heard of the horror stories of children drowning in shallow pools of water.

Keeping a teenaged girl as a baby sitter is never advisable as they are often absent minded.

I know what you mean since teens who are not mothers are not ready to babysit toddlers.

@Deepizzaguy They are fickle minded and may neglect babies.

I am also happy that the toddler is safe since the babysitter would have been in deep trouble had the toddler passed away.

I'm glad that the child is safe and sound. Kids can drown in a couple of inches of water.

I remember my school teachers telling me that a lot of drownings do happen in shallow water.
