We're a few weeks from summer, and it's promising to be a hot one. Going out in the van isn't as bad, but going out in the wheelchair is miserable. I can't say I can complain, really. Because that's exactly what I am doing. Later today I think I'll try out our new toaster. George and I might get subs, so there's that. I am happy to see the change my husband is making.

I always did worry about him, but it's nice to see positive changes. I am going to hate this summer, I just know it.

Ah, yes I remember my first blast of Florida air when I arrived at the end of June five years ago. Suddenly I missed the cold of northern Europe but now I am used to it and I am looking forward to taking a walk to the beach soon if only my right knee will hold me up.
