A man who has nothing but a dollar
and holds a beat up past of heart heartache
walks a gloomy and dark night in a town that would make
you wonder how do you live there not being a blue collar
worker working for a living at some seven-eleven store or
dollar mart.
Everyone that seen him notice his funny grin and tasteful smile
his rugged dirty old torn grey Flannel Shirt., handle bar mustache,
with blue jeans on with holes cut out at the knees with rebok shoes from his stash
but what most catches your eyes is the Grey Bowler Cap that looks out of style
on top his head
Many nights walking down a long dark alleyway people notice him in a puff
of smoke screaming out "The day is coming and i got to know'
some often wonder what that means some say "when its my time to go
i need to know my purpose because just being here not enough
or it could just mean what particular day that was
One day a storm came through and there was alot of wind
some how the man lost that grey bowler cap
it almost makes you wish you had a map
to find it but it had sentimental value so he search for it even when they send
him to the wrong place
Something about a grey bowler cap reminds us of our troubled past
it did for this man what else be so special bout it
was there something inside it or it was the right fit
what ever the reason he had to find it fast
so back on the streets
He looked in all area's he thought it could be
even places that didn't have a chance to being at
when he got tired he sat
one time he ask a little boy on the road if he could help me
he applied wow i wish i had a grey bowler cap
After days and days of looking he almost called it quits but something
told him not to so he back track the places he was before
out of no where he looked in a tree hanging on a limb was that grey bowler cap he was looking for
he was so happy he could sing
Then in the dark he goes again
the end

A lovely story indeed but what do you want to convey from this story?

@codyr10 That happens with some but not all. I lost my husband recently but I don't stick to his things. Rather I would be happy to donate his clothes and things to people.

Thought of making a discussion in story of one of problems in world we having and see the reaction . To me the story reflects around loneliness in world and hanging on to things our lost love left behind and keep searching and you might find what your looking for.
