Why is job searching so hard?

I have been looking for a 2nd job to supplement my income for a long time now. Why on earth do job searches have to be so hard? Whats the worst of job searching is the job sarch sites that dont work, you just redirect to the company's homepage over and over without getting to the application, or you get to the application and it takes forever and the you are bounced from the job pool over one of those stupid assessments at the end of the application. How do they expect to hire anyone with those unrealistic things on the application that weed out 90 something % of all the applicants before the company even sees their resumes or anything. I am extremely frustrated and I need some more income my current one is woefully inadequate. How in the heck am I supposed to live on pitifully small wages while unable to find a supplemental income, what do these people expect me to do? Why do they make it SO flipping difficult to find a job?????

I am trying freelancer sites, I am having a hard time to get my bids to jobs on those sites accepted. I have freelancer, fiverr, upwork and a couple others. It takes a lot of work and energy to get that going.

The only ones that have ever told me it is easy to get a job have been those that are already employed and/or they have been employed by their immediate family.

Right only the ones that aren't job searching right now say it is easy. If they were doing it a long time ago or their family got them into their job they have no idea.

It's definitely not easy for sure. I can certainly understand and can relate.

On the news they say jobs are plentiful, I have a friend who has tried online, and she has the same problem.

They say jobs are plentiful and yet people struggle to get hired. The news lies sometimes. It is very annoying.
