My sweet smelling lime

It's raining and my lime tree is full of limes big and small. The limes of my tree are very sweet smelling. I use their juice in salads, my homemade fruit juice and used the leaves for flavouring rice and chutneys.
Though they are sour they can be used for garnishing and if the tree is overladen, I shall make some sweet lime pickle in winter as this tree keeps producing fruits till winter.

No, it's not that but of the same family as it has a different kind of sweet smell. I like Gondhoraj lebu too.

Yes it good for the prices of lime in India have sky rocketed. I am glad I don't have to buy them.

Yes, it's flavour is refreshing and makes you feel cool in summer. I too like lime pickle but avoid it because of my tonsillitis.

@anil02 Yes, I avoid taking too much of lime and curd as that will also increase my rheumatic pain.

No, they are different. They have a sweet smell other than the gondhoraj lemon.

The lime tree I have is not common. They grow large with thick skin and lot of sweet smelling juice. I got the plant from the horticulture department.

Yes, it is when made with this lime. When added to other homemade fruit juices it gives a lovely flavour to the juice.

I like limes. We used to have lime tree before and has lots of fruits. We use it to flavor custard flans

I like the flavour of lime. Now it's rainy season and we can sprinkle it's juice on roasted corn and have it with some rock salt. I use lime juice for marination too.
