Does anyone know about this new release?! This is the best news for me in years. It's only 11 minutes long, but I know eventually all of it will be available somewhere online. I never heard this! I can't even find it on their YouTube channel. I'll have to find a way to download this. This is amazing. I also love studio chatter, and how different a song starts, and develops. I used to call The Doors my favorite, because it opens and closes with my favorite stuff, but in the last few years, I went from "tie" to giving the nod to "LA Woman"... I started playing drums in Middle School, and then toward the end of it, this guy sitting next to me made me all these Doors tapes, and it's probably why I spend way too much time on multiple boards trying to "spread the good word" but it sent me on my way. I also remember the cassette tape not working after just a month or two. I tried everything. Even my cousin who was good at fixing tapes when hers went bad, but no luck. I had no money, and it seemed like forever before a friend bought me the cassette for my birthday. LA Woman is probably my 3rd favorite song of theirs.. It's the best driving song. Then you have an amazing opener with "The Changeling" (except for the squeaky bass drum pedal!).. I love Robby with the dual guitars (ala "When The Music's Over").. I notice he uses the wah-wah pedal the minute Rothschild is gone, lol. But it fits, and he doesn't overdo it.. Densmore's contributions on the title track are amazing. Going to the Latin thing ("I see your hair is burning"), and going faster and faster, like an orgasm. I always listen to the song "LA Woman" as Jim's goodbye song, along with his final whisper track on the amazing "Riders On The Storm".. I love "The Wasp"... When I was young, "Hyacinth House" was my favorite song for a period. "L'America" is such a cool song with a cool title. "Love Her Madly" is the hit. My only criticism is having two slow blues songs back to back, but so what. Another great song title, "Cars Hiss By My Window". I'm going to listen to the album right now.. Actually, I'm going to check this out. So nice of The Doors to release the first part (maybe more) Any Doors fans in here? Any fans of Jim Morrison? P.S. - Whatever you do, don't watch that piece of garbage "movie" - it's all lies, and false. Why not go to the source - Jim Morrison?! Here's a nice free site jimmorrison.freeforums.net/

I like the songs of the late Jim Morrison especially the song "Light My Fire."

There's plenty of those on YouTube, too. In many live shows, Krieger is playing the melody of The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" while he solos. He would also play the melody from "My Favorite Things"
