A roof (house) of our own is a must you agree?

In India, there is a saying "The two worldly responsibilites are marriage and building your own house in one's life". Of course, in today's world you might say that we are now in an era, where marriage is not give the sanctity as before, and that people go for livins, divorces, etc. and that today people own more than one house, but yet the dream and wish of any individual is always to settle down in life. And settling essentially means getting married and also owning a house of your own. So how important is it own a roof or house of your own? I am not sure if this is the case with all of you, is this more on the priority list of yours?
