It's a Disney+ series that take place between 'the prequels' & 'the original trilogy' of STAR WARS---so 'there's likely to be lots of "SPOILERS" of both this latest Disney+ entry and -of the whole STAR WARS-franchise. (So--if you've never seen 'the nine main STAR WARS-movie (the SKYWALKER saga), the few 'STAR WARS story' movies, the STAR WARS animated series, THE MANDALORIAN or THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT--just remember 'it starts with Part IV' ) For the rest of us; "OBI-WAN KENOBI" picks up about 10 years after Obi-Wan & Yoda gave Leia to Senator Organa to raise on his planet while Obi-Wan watched-over her twin-brother Luke on Tattooine. I guess ever-since Order 66 (where the Emperor declared that all Jedi Knights were enemies-of-The-Republic), there's been 'an inquisition' where a team of soldiers continually hunted them down. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan's been living in quiet watch over Luke. The Inquisitors finally get around to Tattooine, when Darth Vader takes an interest in their findings there (because a) that's where Anakin (Darth's previous persona) was born-&-raised, and b) Obi-Wan was his former Master). For some reason (I don't remember if it's connected), young Leia was kidnapped by The Inquisitors. We only see this, because Obi-Wan is involved in rescuing her & bringing her back to 'her planet' (Alderon?). The main SPOILER I have here is that one of The Inquisitors--we learn--is actually one of the "Jedi younglings" in the class that the just-turned-to-the-Dark-Side Anakin came and slaughtered in STAR WARS III. (The youngling named Reva survived by 'playing dead' alongside her really-dead classmates.) And we learn that 'the entire purpose of her Inquisitor-career' was to get close to Darth Vader so she could wreak vengeance for her classmates. When she finally DOES get close enough, he almost kills her ---which brings me to my second question about her (the first question is "Why is she called Third Sister?"): Why is it that--after she 'shruggs off' whatever Darth Vader did to her--she thinks that 'killing Luke' will restore "Justice"? I mean; who-all knows that Darth Vader used to be Anakin Skywalker, the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa? Maybe that's something 'everybody knows,' so THE WEEK didn't feel the need to deal with it. https://theweek.com/tv/1014549/obi-wan-kenobi-the-biggest-lingering-questions-after-the-finale But what do you think? Any other lingering questions? ... maybe they all would've been answered if we'd had 3PO!

I haven't watched it. I don't have Disney +. What did you think of it? Did you like it?

I like it ... but mostly because of my parasocial "friendship" with Obi-Wan, Leia, Luke, Uncle Owen, Aunt Beru ... and even Anakin "Darth Vader" i.e. I want to see 'how's it going for them' (the same reason some of us like going through all the MyLot-posts, if you judge by the common way people will post on MyLot---as if we CARE 'what they had for lunch' or 'how long it's been since they've been to the hospital' or etc.). But it doesn't have enough "epic action" to be 'better than' THE SKYWALKER SAGA (STAR WARS movies). And that's the standard a lot of online critics are holding it up-to.

@mythociate I see. I liked all the Star Wars movies, even the prequels.

@sharonelton I agree; Oh The prequels may not be as good or as 'crucial to the story' as EMPIRE STRIKES BACK or RISE OF SKYWALKER, but they are effective "adhesive" for holding the story together
