Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., the new president of the Philippines. Also known as Bong Bong Marcos. In his speech, I noticed he is eloquent with the English language. He speaks better English than Duterte the former president of the Philippines. I think the way he speaks in English signifies that he is a smart guy. Smarter than Duterte. I think Bong Bong Marcos has both pros and cons. Let's begin with the CONS. First of all, Remember more than 600 million expenses in his election campaign. So it will be stupid if once he is in power he will not do corruption, to recoup the money he invested to win the election? What do you think? 2nd is, His family has ongoing Tax Evasion case, if I'm not mistaken this is around 2 billion pesos? correct me if I'm wrong. So to resolve this problem he needs to be in power to manipulate or atleast influence the supreme court decision? What do you think? Those are the BIG cons. Let's proceed to PROS First I noticed he also appointed himself to be the cabinet member to handle the Agriculture department. I see his sincerity to solve the problem in the agriculture sector. And to show to Filipino people that he is serious and wants to make reality his promise especially the P 20 pesos per kilo of rice. 2nd is, This is his chance to fix the ruined image of his family, Due to his father's bad management of the Philippines. So what are your PROS & CONS reaction to Bong Bong Marcos as the new President of the Philippines?

@cool83 maximum 6 years. This is the chance of BBM to fix the ruined image of their family because of his former father who was infamous of being a dictator and corrupt.

Until now no health secretary and no agriculture secretary. For the sake of discussion, it can also indicate lack of direction and foresight. In the time there is food, employment and health crisis and you are taking directly the management either shows you want hands on management or you just didn't have a plan in the first place. But in the coming months let's wait and see. As to the image of his father as a corrupt and a dictator, no amount of whitewashing can bury the truth. But if BBM performs with such integrity, honesty and actually turn the country around, no amount of mudslinging can tarnish his image. It is his time to prove himself - that his presidency is not all about his father
