A little walk and $20 richer.

Photo I took of the $20 I found.

I felt like going for a walk, and instead of going one way I want another way. I got to see my Brazilian neighbor and her two adorable pugs. She said she had a class to do online, but to come over at four because she was making a cake and to have cake and coffee with her. After leaving her place, I for some reason went across the street to where a ball game was ending. There were lots of people milling around and talking. Upon looking down, I found a $20 on the ground. I looked around to see if anyone was looking around like they'd lost something, and didn't see anyone, so I asked some people if they'd dropped a $20. Everyone I asked said no. The last gentleman I asked said "It's yours." I don't know, thinking about it, how someone down an incline (that you have to walk down to get to the ball field) could have lost a 20 dollar bill up on the sidewalk, but I thought I'd ask. I felt I should at least do that before taking off with it.

it is a good idea of our part to ask someone if they lost a huge amount of money since it is better to be honest than being a crook.

You were honest to ask if anyone lost it. But afterwards it was your blessing.

You asked and no one said that they lost money, so it's yours.

It is odd but you did ask and nobody claimed the twenty dollar bill. It’s yours to keep.

This amount will certainly not be missed so much by those who lost. Enjoy that money. It doesn't happen often and you were very wise to worry that this money was someone else's. The most I've found so far is 50 cents. I have no luck with these things.

Normally all I find are pennies--and the occasional dime.

Think of it as two thousand pennies from heaven.

At least it's yours now free clear. It was still kind of you to try and figure things out.

It’s not hard to lose money out of your pocket and if you found it I always say keep it as well. I found $40 last week .
