It's July and what a busy month it's been already.
So this past weekend was the fourth of July and for us a holiday.
Saturday we had the Fire Department party which was fun until my husband and I really got into it. Needless to say I had to make a few apologies but my husband and I did work it out later.
Sunday I had friends over and we had a small dinner and fireworks show. It was really nice and everyone had a good time. I got bit up like crazy before we went out and got citronella candles. I feel like I have chicken pox with all the spots and the itchiness. Hopefully it dies down soon.
Monday was the actual fourth but we did our celebrating the two days prior. We ran a few errands and I made a face to face explanation to a very good friend about Saturday night. We agreed it was my husband's fault and we were all good. It was funny because she went home and guilt cleaned while I guilt baked. Yes, she got some of her favorite cookies as an apology lol.
Today, my husband had to drive himself to work and we got up late. Thankfully he wasn't late but it did give us a panic.
He'll be working his ten hours and while he's doing that I'll be working online.
I should be working on the Wildland training but the site is apparently down for maintenance. So while they work on that, I will go back to my original routine.
So I am currently working online as well as sorting my books.
I was going to wait to do my books but I really want to, therefore I will.
I also finished my Game of Thrones puzzle. I just need to glue it now and then on to the next. The goal is to make a dent in all the puzzles I have in the other room.
I am actually reading two books. It's a thing I never really do but I have the Nora Roberts book that I am about half way through and the new ARC from Carrie Ann Ryan. The ARC kind of has to take precedence because of the reviews that have to be posted when it gets released.
We're still planning on getting our house and saving up for that. We just have a few major expenses that we have to get passed. We will be approved for emergency traffic soon and his truck will be going in to a friend to get his lights installed.
I can't wait! Not because we can drive fast because lets face it, we don't need lights for that, but because then his truck will be more useful on scene. I won't have to be traffic control again. When it's at night, it kind of sucks.
Fingers crossed that it's a good day today. It's started out that way at least :)
What is everyone else up to?
How was your holiday weekend? Or just your weekend if you don't celebrate Independence Day?

Me too. We've had enough bad weeks lol. I'm ready to find a new normal with everything and get back to having good days again. It'd be nice to not have to refer to days as good or bad anymore lol.
