Can you compose?

How do you create your online or written greetings? (Birthday or valentine's)
Can you compose an original phrase or a short birthday greeting to a girlfriend or boyfriend?
When receiving greetings, I usually prefer original phrases than copied ones. So, I also send original greetings when I greet them as well.
What about you?
Do you just copy and paste or use ecard and edit the message? Or do you totally compose from scratch?
Here's on example of my greeting to Fay:
"I purple you Fay, more than the ocean's blue and the sky's gray."

When I was a kid and still giving my mom birthday or mother's day card. I was composing it myself From scratch.
and I don't just say (Happy mothers day and I love you.) I do say a whole message like 5-10 Sentences.
saying thank you and etc.
But now I dont make cards anymore and I just help my mother with chores sometimes when I am not tired or busy.

I make sure to write what I feel about the person. It should be coming from your heart
