What is awakening to you.....

While reading an article by Dalai Lama, thought clicked my head what exactly the awakening is...... I think each one of us could have our own version of awakening, may it be mind, body, soul, and also its not something that can be achieved so easily. When I think of my definition, it would be some sort of practice of exchanging oneself with others, learning to appreciate what's around, learning to acknowledge faults and pursue compassion in every possible way.... How would you term awakening....
