The himalaya mountains separate the countries of Nepal and Bhutan with India. On the foot hills and valleys the crops are planted. The onion and the garlic plantations are nurtured in the monsoon season. At this stage they are just planted the produce will not feature before november. Generally the crops can be identified from the leaves and appearance.

I plant a crop of garlic every year here in Canada, too. I plant enough to use just over one bulb per week year 'round. Every year I try to expand the crop a bit. Currently, I sometimes run out of garlic and need to buy some from the store, but not often. Do you plant garlic and onions yourself?
