Lab Tech Not There

Last week it was my mom's birthday. I did a cute video for her, she loved it! But lemme tell you what happened last week, because good sakes On Tuesday last week, before going to the mall, I was going to get blood work done, it was going to be quick and then go WELL on the door they said there was no Lab tech, well heck, that ruined that plan. that is okay, I had enough pills so it didn't matter My grandma does this whole thing of "you should have called" Bruh, my doctor's office has walk-in lab work, I don't need to call. That was just so annoying. However, I did call the next day. I called and asked if a lab tech would be at that location and they said yes, I also asked if I could get my Covid Booster because I just kept meaning to do it and kept forgetting or just didn't have time or something Alright, so I go to the doctor's, and on the sign it again said that a Lab Tech wasn't there and I was like...oh no but I had to go in there anyway because maybe the sign was wrong? And also I had an appointment for my Booster I go in and they tell me, yeah the Lab Tech wasn't there, even though I freaking called, but the call center just didn't check for me. A person behind me was SO MAD which I get it, he did the same thing as me, went there Tuesday, no one, called and said there was someone, goes there and no...no one. I don't condone yelling at Staff, but I also understand the frustration. You need to get this thing done and the Call Center tells you one thing and you experience another. My grandma was mad because she and my mom had to wait 30 minutes in the car while I had to get my booster. They have to thaw out the vaccine, you want them to thaw it out, have a no show, and have to waste medication? I'm sorry ME trying to protect YOU from getting a deadly virus is such an inconvenience for you, because you won't get the vaccine. Oooh, that was just the cherry on top of frustration But, I did do a brave girl thing. I went up to the front desk to ask to have more of my prescription because I was running low and didn't want to go anywhere after having my Booster because I knew I wouldn't be feel welling. and decided to just do my bloodwork when I have my next doctor's appointment. So I did 2 brave girl things, Calling and asking questions, and then asking for something! Yey! I will tell you my experience with my booster another time. I didn't know I was going to go on so long about my experience that day. It was such a nightmare, but at least I did it.

That is so annoying. I can only imagine what people who don't have transportation and rely on cabs and such have to deal with, that is just a nightmare.
