The Houston Texans Rookie Wide Receiver, John Metchie III has been diagnosed with APL. APL is Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia. It's the most curable and thus far Metchie seems to be in good spirits while receiving treatment. Metchie was picked 44th overall in this draft and has already decided he will not play this year to focus on his health. In December, Metchie tore his ACL and was expected to be ready for training camp. He is not cut but has been placed on the active/non-football illness list. When he's ready, he'll get his chance. Until that time, thoughts and prayers are with him. Houston stands behind him every step of the way. *info from ESPN **picture from google
