Where Does Your Hope Lie?

I have been conducting several Bible studies and the common theme among many is "the hopelessness of life". And looking at our world, our nation through human eyes, the situation does seem hopeless. I have heard several spiritual leaders say that America will soon fall. And without God's providence and intervention, she will. The situation looks bleak because we do not deserve God's grace and mercy. Immorality, perversion, violence, and the abuse of kids is at an all time high. It looks as if Christians have their head stuck in the sand and they refuse to stand for God's Word. But then I remember the stories from the Bible. Yes, God often unleashed his judgement on an unrepentant, wicked people. But, even more, He showed mercy when just a small number of His people called out to Him and turned from their sin. There is always hope. However, we can not put our hope in lawmakers or politicians. We must put our hope in Jesus. For our country and for me personally, I choose to put my hope in God.

Sometimes I feel like giving up for sure but when I remember that God is with me through each and every situation, I feel encouraged and gear forward towards my goals.

No one can earn God's Grace. It's the most wonderful gift in the world. Thank you for sharing this.
