Why shoes are so expensive? / myLot

Shoes are one of the basic necessities. There are many type of shoes. From running shoes, sneakers, boots, safety shoes, crocs, ugg boots etc... Every time I visit a mall and visited one shoe shop. I'm always shock to find out the prices. From P 1,800 to P 2,500, to P 3,000, to P 5000 and even P 8,000 and more higher prices. I understand they pay mall rent. But how aout online? They don't pay expensive rent online. But the prices are almost the same. Jesus!, it's just shoes. So why kill the people by high prices? LOL How is the price of shoes doing in your place?

I don’t pay high prices for my shoes. I look for sales.

The price of shoes has went up again. I always try to get shoes on clearance.

I too am wondering why they are that expensive nowadays, especially the popular branded ones. I guess you pay for the name and the demand for the shoes that is why they can dictate a higher price for their product.
