Lunch time

Good afternoon. Hope you're enjoying your Sunday.
It's 1:09pm of Sunday here in the Philippines. It's a late lunch because we've also had our late breakfast.
Just wanted to share about lunch in which my wife prepared for it. This is somewhat a combination of pork and "sayote" or based on Google translate it's mirliton. This "sayote" is one of my favorite vegetables on a dish aside from squash, carrots and leafy vegetables.
My wife prepared this in a soup like.

I looked up sayote, because I have never heard of it, and I believe it says it's the name of the dish. Is it a dish of vegies or a vegie?

That's correct @misunderstood_zombie. It's a type of vegie always available here in the Philippines, however, as of the moment, the market price of this is somewhat been high because of the inflation here in the Philippines.

@akanetuk Oh! I'm not aware of rice available in most parts of Africa. I appreciate of sharing that info.
