And It Continues On

The story of Deshaun Watson continues as of last night.
Too close to the dead line for my liking, the NFL has decided to appeal Deshaun Watson's six game suspension, fighting for what they call a one year banishment.
It appears that Judge Robertson worded her findings with evidence and insinuation that let the NFL go forward with the appeal without the backlash that might have happened due to this process being new.
It seems that the NFL found their loophole.
While investigating the judge actually found proof that Deshaun Watson DID commit the NFL's definition of sexual assault.
This whole case is complex and most definitely not black and white.
The process that this case is going through is new which is what makes this the most confusing however, it seems that there is now a loophole.
With the findings that the judge found, the NFL can pursue the punishment that they originally wanted. Now they can also continue talks about a settlement as well.
It's very likely that they will go to Federal Court though it's not exactly what they want to do as it could dig up more than what others will want known. Dirty secrets in everyone's closet could be aired.
Now we wait once again because now Watson can respond to the appeal within two days.
This is just a complicated mess.
One way or the other though, it seems like Watson will get punished for what he did...though I'm not sure exactly what he did.
It's supposed to be out there for us to find so I guess I have to go digging.
I should make a point to say that Deshaun Watson has vehemently proclaimed that he is innocent of all charges since this has started. He has gone so far as to not settling this issue with a settlement when it was offered.

@JordanLader Yes, and it is demanding to come up with evidence for the accused..to the contrary I mean of what he is accused of.

@RebeccasFarm I just don't know. I mean they say the info is out there so that we can form our own opinions but I can't find it. The judge apparently found evidence in the five cases that she viewed out of 25 allegations. I just don't see where and he has been very vocal about being innocent of all charges since the beginning.

Oh yeah. I think this is the longest one that the NFL has had. It's a new process and they're trying to prove that they aren't pulling favoritism because of a team or talent or money. At least I'm assuming.

I still wonder why the Browns picked him in the first place.

Money. He was the financially better decision though what they gave up for him was too much. I believe they gave up their first round picks in the draft next year

If Deshaun is not guilty why isn't he providing the evidence? The court needs evidence.

The burden of proof is on the accuser not the plaintiff. Due to the fame and money surrounding this case, it also has to be processed a different way. Our every day system wanted to bring charges against him but the DA declined stating there wasn't enough evidence. Yet this judge found evidence to "egregious crimes" being committed.

@JordanLader Court cases drag for long and sometimes justice is denied. Hope he gets justice if he is not guilty.

@aninditasen We'll find out. They officially filed an appeal, it may go all the way to federal court.
