Relationship Partner

True love
August 7, 2022 12:41pm CST
I have been a toxic relationship before and I almost lost my mind because she actually made me to hate ladies. She would actually frustrate my life especially when I don't have money to give to her, she would go out with other dudes and tell me they are just friends and I keep on meeting them in a very odd position. Having a partner in a relationship is to become one, fall in love and make sacrifices for eachother but not in our relationship, she would want me to do insane things for her but, she will never do anything for me. It felt like I am the only one in the relationship. For those who have experience in relationship, how should a relationship feel like?

It should be mutual care and support. It may not be equal all the time but you should at least feel that the other person cares for you and is willing to help you out as much as they can too. Nothing one sided.

Yes, I have experienced a toxic relationship like this very far back into the past. It made me very distrustful of men. But then I made a list of the attributes a man should have to be in a relationship with me. There was nothing about good looks or anything like that. It was all about how they should treat me, their personality, and their kindness. After I made that list, I met my husband, who fit all of the criteria, and we've been happily married for 26 years!

If you feel its toxic get out, it's not worth it. Relationships should not make you feel less of yourself.

Not really but going to an extreme length to please her financial and bed wise but it seems she is not satisfied with anything

@Peterlight Well you need to get yourself financially stable and then start dating again.

You should break it off. She’s not the one for you. You’ll find a nice girl who’ll care for you.

Depends on what a person needs or expects from the relationship. In any case it shouldn’t make you feel less than like yours did so good riddance!

I don't feel like we should expect much from relationship after having someone that is loving and caring because I don't see anything more serious than that
